Education And Unemployment

The more education an individual possesses, the less likely it is that he or she will be unemployed. According to BLS statistics from the Current Population Survey (http://www.bls.gov/cps/cpsaat7.pdf), while 7.6% of those with less than a high school diploma were unemployed in 2005, only 2.3% of college graduates were unable to find a job. High school graduates with no college had an unemployment rate of 4.7%, while those with some college, but no degree, faced a 4.2% unemployment rate.
